Hotel MYORA stands beside Lebedos, one of the twelve cities of the ancient Ionian League, on a coastline that has been continuously settled for three thousand years. The list below sets out the historical and cultural sites around us, with notes for your visit.
This list is also kept in print at our reception and reviewed once a year. During your visits we ask you to follow the Code of Conduct at Cultural and Historical Sites.
Historical and cultural sites

Lebedos Ancient City
One of the twelve cities of the Ionian League (7th century BC). Hellenistic harbour walls, a temple terrace on the hill and traces of housing.
Visitor note — A first-degree protected archaeological site. Stay on marked paths; take nothing with you.

Doğanbey (İpsili) and İpsili Castle
A coastal settlement formerly called İpsili, with castle ruins on the offshore islet. Its history reaches back to the Aydınid period.
Visitor note — The islet ruins are not to be climbed; view them from the shore.

Ulamış village
A preserved village of stone buildings, a historic bathhouse and a village theatre.
Visitor note — A lived-in village; vehicle access is limited.

Seferihisar town centre
The first district in Türkiye to join the Cittaslow (Slow City) network. Cultural centre, memory house and local producer outlets.
Visitor note — Quieter on weekdays.

Colophon Ancient City
Another of the twelve Ionian cities; city walls and building remains.
Visitor note — An open excavation area; stay on marked paths.

Teos Ancient City
An Ionian city dating back to the 11th century BC. The Temple of Dionysus built by Hermogenes, theatre, agora, bouleuterion, cistern, Hellenistic walls and two ancient harbours.
Visitor note — An active excavation by Ankara University. Opening hours and staff instructions apply.

Sığacık Castle and Old Town
A 16th-century Ottoman fortress. The walled quarter is still a living neighbourhood of stone lanes and traditional houses.
Visitor note — People live inside the walls. Do not enter courtyards or photograph residents without permission.

Sığacık Producers’ Market
A producers’ market grown out of the Cittaslow and Slow Food tradition: heirloom seeds, olive oil, herbs and handmade goods.
Visitor note — Held on Sundays. We suggest bringing your own bag.

Sanctuary of Claros
An ancient oracle sanctuary of Apollo: temple, altar and sacred way.
Visitor note — An excavation site; parts may be closed due to groundwater.

Ephesus and the House of the Virgin Mary
A UNESCO World Heritage site: the Library of Celsus, the Great Theatre and the Terrace Houses.
Visitor note — In summer, come early. There is little shade — bring water and a hat.

Şirince
A traditional Aegean village carrying the legacy of the population exchange.
Visitor note — The lanes are narrow; parking is at the village entrance.
Distances are approximate road distances. Opening hours, entry fees and excavation schedules may change; please ask at reception for current information.
Intangible heritage and local production
- Hıdırellez — a spring festival inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, still kept in the villages around us on 5–6 May as a communal event.
- Seferihisar mandarin — a local product with protected geographical indication. Harvest is in winter.
- Olives and olive oil — the oldest farming tradition of this region; the groves around Teos have been worked since antiquity.
- Aegean herb cooking — thyme, sage, capers, chicory and samphire, gathered and cooked in season.
- Coastal and fishing culture — small-scale fishing still practised in the harbours of Ürkmez and Sığacık.
- Women’s cooperatives and handwork — cooperatives producing in Seferihisar and the surrounding villages.

Das Hotel MYORA liegt unmittelbar neben Lebedos, einer der zwölf Städte des antiken Ionischen Bundes, an einem seit dreitausend Jahren ununterbrochen besiedelten Küstenstreifen. Die folgende Liste stellt die historischen und kulturellen Stätten unserer Umgebung mit Hinweisen für Ihren Besuch vor.
Diese Liste liegt auch gedruckt an unserer Rezeption aus und wird einmal jährlich überprüft. Wir bitten Sie, bei Ihren Besuchen die Verhaltensregeln an kulturellen und historischen Stätten zu beachten.
Historische und kulturelle Stätten

Antike Stadt Lebedos
Eine der zwölf Städte des Ionischen Bundes (7. Jh. v. Chr.). Hellenistische Hafenmauern, eine Tempelterrasse auf dem Hügel und Spuren von Wohnbebauung.
Besuchshinweis — Archäologisches Schutzgebiet ersten Grades. Markierte Wege nicht verlassen; nichts mitnehmen.

Doğanbey (İpsili) und Burg İpsili
Küstensiedlung, früher İpsili genannt; Burgruine auf der vorgelagerten Insel. Ihre Geschichte reicht bis in die Zeit der Aydınoğulları zurück.
Besuchshinweis — Die Inselruine wird nicht bestiegen; Betrachtung vom Ufer aus.

Dorf Ulamış
Erhaltenes Dorfgefüge mit Steinbauten, historischem Hamam und Dorftheater.

Ortskern Seferihisar
Der erste Landkreis der Türkei im Cittaslow-Netzwerk. Kulturzentrum, Erinnerungshaus und Verkaufsstellen lokaler Erzeuger.

Antike Stadt Kolophon
Eine weitere der zwölf ionischen Städte; Stadtmauer und Baureste.
Besuchshinweis — Offenes Grabungsgelände; markierte Wege nicht verlassen.

Antike Stadt Teos
Ionische Stadt mit Ursprüngen im 11. Jh. v. Chr. Der von Hermogenes errichtete Dionysos-Tempel, Theater, Agora, Bouleuterion, Zisterne, hellenistische Stadtmauer und zwei antike Häfen.
Besuchshinweis — Laufende Grabung der Universität Ankara. Öffnungszeiten und Anweisungen des Personals gelten.

Burg und Altstadt von Sığacık
Osmanische Festung aus dem 16. Jahrhundert. Innerhalb der Mauern liegt ein bis heute bewohntes Viertel mit Steingassen und traditionellen Häusern.
Besuchshinweis — Innerhalb der Mauern wird gewohnt. Höfe nicht betreten, Bewohner nicht ungefragt fotografieren.

Erzeugermarkt Sığacık
Ein aus der Cittaslow- und Slow-Food-Tradition entstandener Erzeugermarkt: alte Saatgutsorten, Olivenöl, Kräuter und Handgemachtes.
Besuchshinweis — Sonntags. Wir empfehlen, eine eigene Tasche mitzubringen.

Heiligtum von Klaros
Antikes Orakelheiligtum des Apollon: Tempel, Altar und heilige Straße.
Besuchshinweis — Grabungsgelände; einzelne Bereiche können wegen Grundwassers gesperrt sein.

Ephesos und das Haus der Jungfrau Maria
UNESCO-Welterbe: Celsus-Bibliothek, Großes Theater und Hanghäuser.
Besuchshinweis — Im Sommer früh kommen. Es gibt wenig Schatten — Wasser und Kopfbedeckung mitnehmen.

Şirince
Traditionelles ägäisches Dorf, geprägt vom Erbe des Bevölkerungsaustauschs.
Besuchshinweis — Die Gassen sind eng; Parkplätze am Dorfeingang.
Die Entfernungen sind ungefähre Straßenentfernungen. Öffnungszeiten, Eintrittspreise und Grabungszeiten können sich ändern; bitte fragen Sie an der Rezeption nach aktuellen Angaben.
Immaterielles Erbe und lokale Erzeugung
- Hıdırellez — ein Frühlingsfest, das in die Repräsentative Liste des immateriellen Kulturerbes der UNESCO aufgenommen wurde und in den umliegenden Dörfern am 5. und 6. Mai gemeinschaftlich begangen wird.
- Seferihisar-Mandarine — ein lokales Erzeugnis mit geschützter geografischer Angabe. Ernte im Winter.
- Oliven und Olivenöl — die älteste landwirtschaftliche Tradition der Region; die Haine um Teos werden seit der Antike bewirtschaftet.
- Ägäische Kräuterküche — Thymian, Salbei, Kapern, Zichorie und Queller, saisonal gesammelt und zubereitet.
- Küsten- und Fischereikultur — kleinteilige Fischerei in den Häfen von Ürkmez und Sığacık.
- Frauenkooperativen und Handarbeit — Kooperativen in Seferihisar und den umliegenden Dörfern.

Hotel MYORA, antik İyonya Birliği’nin on iki kentinden biri olan Lebedos’un hemen yanında, üç bin yıldır kesintisiz yerleşim görmüş bir kıyı şeridinde bulunmaktadır. Aşağıdaki liste çevremizdeki tarihî ve kültürel alanları ziyaret notlarıyla birlikte sunar.

Lebedos Antik Kenti
İyonya Birliği’nin on iki kentinden biri (MÖ 7. yüzyıl). Liman bölgesindeki Helenistik dönem duvarları, tepe üzerindeki tapınak terası ve konut kalıntılarının izleri.
Ziyaret notu — Birinci derece arkeolojik sit alanıdır. İşaretli yollar dışına çıkılmaz; hiçbir parça alınmaz.

Doğanbey (İpsili) ve İpsili Kalesi
Eski adı İpsili olan kıyı yerleşimi; açıktaki adacık üzerinde kale kalıntısı. Geçmişi Aydınoğulları dönemine uzanır.
Ziyaret notu — Adadaki kalıntıya çıkış yapılmaz; kıyıdan izlenir.

Ulamış Köyü
Taş yapılar, tarihî hamam ve köy tiyatrosu ile korunmuş geleneksel köy dokusu.

Seferihisar merkezi
Türkiye’nin Cittaslow (Sakin Şehir) ağına katılan ilk ilçesi. Kültür merkezi, anı evi ve yerel üretici noktaları.

İyonya’nın on iki kentinden bir diğeri; kent suru ve yapı kalıntıları.

MÖ 11. yüzyıla uzanan İyon kenti. Hermogenes’in yaptığı Dionysos Tapınağı, tiyatro, agora, bouleuterion, sarnıç, Helenistik sur ve iki antik liman.
Ziyaret notu — Ankara Üniversitesi kazısı sürmektedir. Ziyaret saatleri ve görevli uyarıları geçerlidir.

Sığacık Kalesi ve Kaleiçi
16. yüzyıl Osmanlı dönemi kalesi. Sur içi bugün de yaşayan bir mahalledir; taş sokaklar ve geleneksel evler.
Ziyaret notu — Kale içi konut alanıdır. Avlulara girilmez, izinsiz fotoğraf çekilmez.

Sığacık Üretici Pazarı
Cittaslow ve Slow Food geleneğinden doğan üretici pazarı: yöresel tohum, zeytinyağı, ot ve el üretimi ürünler.

Klaros Kutsal Alanı
Apollon’a adanmış antik kehanet merkezi; tapınak, sunak ve kutsal yol kalıntıları.

UNESCO Dünya Mirası Listesi’ndeki antik kent: Celsus Kütüphanesi, Büyük Tiyatro, Yamaç Evler.
Ziyaret notu — Yaz aylarında sabah erken saat önerilir. Gölge azdır; su ve şapka gereklidir.

Mübadele dönemi mirasını taşıyan geleneksel Ege köyü.
Ziyaret notu — Sokaklar dardır; araç park alanı köy girişindedir.
Uzaklıklar yaklaşık karayolu mesafeleridir. Ziyaret saatleri, giriş ücretleri ve kazı takvimi değişebilir; güncel bilgi için resepsiyonumuza danışabilirsiniz.
Somut olmayan kültürel miras ve yerel üretim
- Hıdırellez — UNESCO Somut Olmayan Kültürel Miras Temsili Listesi’nde yer alan bahar bayramı; bölge köylerinde 5–6 Mayıs’ta imece usulüyle sürdürülür.
- Seferihisar mandalinası — coğrafi işaretli yerel ürün. Hasat dönemi kış aylarıdır.
- Zeytin ve zeytinyağı — bölgenin en eski tarım geleneği; Teos çevresindeki zeytinlikler antik dönemden bu yana işlenir.
- Ege ot mutfağı — kekik, adaçayı, kapari, radika, deniz börülcesi. Mevsimine göre toplanır ve pişirilir.
- Kıyı ve balıkçılık kültürü — Ürkmez ve Sığacık limanlarında sürdürülen küçük ölçekli balıkçılık.
- Kadın kooperatifleri ve el üretimi — Seferihisar ve çevre köylerde üretim yapan kooperatifler.
